Beginners: an introduction to driving includes; using the controls -  when moving off and stopping; coordinating pedals, steering around corners at junctions; and being amongst other road users.

Apart of driving is to learn to reverse the car when doing the manoeuvres: turning the car round in the road, forward and reverse parking into a bay within a car park, parking between vehicles for on street parking and moving the car onto righthand side of the road and then moving off to join back into left handside of the road to rejoin normal traffic flow.
